Terms of Service

Last updated: June 13, 2026. These Terms govern access to and use of the VocaPass digital vocabulary learning service.

1. Parties and acceptance

These Terms form an agreement between the person or organization using VocaPass and the operator of the VocaPass service. By creating an account, using the learning service, starting a trial, or purchasing paid access, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy.

2. Service description

VocaPass provides browser-based vocabulary learning tools, including vocabulary plans, word recitation, sentence recitation, review tests, generated or curated learning assets, progress synchronization, and account-based access controls. The service is delivered digitally; no physical goods are shipped.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by VocaPass systems. You must promptly contact support if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. Trial and paid digital access

The free trial and paid access terms shown at checkout or in your saved learning plan control your account. Unless checkout states otherwise, paid access is a one-year, non-renewing digital entitlement. Access begins after successful payment confirmation and server-side entitlement activation.

5. Pricing and payment processor

Prices are displayed before checkout. Web/direct purchases are processed through Stripe Checkout or another approved Stripe-hosted/tokenized flow. VocaPass does not collect or store raw card numbers, CVC codes, or full payment-account credentials. Stripe may provide receipts, payment confirmations, refund confirmations, and payment-related notices.

6. Delivery and availability

Digital access is normally delivered immediately after payment confirmation, account authentication, and entitlement creation. Service availability can be affected by maintenance, network conditions, third-party providers, security events, or content-generation pipeline updates. VocaPass may update, replace, or remove learning content to correct errors, satisfy policy requirements, or improve quality.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security or availability, scrape or resell generated learning assets, upload malicious content, impersonate another person, bypass payment or access controls, or use VocaPass for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful activity.

8. Intellectual property

VocaPass, its interface, software, generated assets, learning plans, audio, images, and content compilations are protected by intellectual-property and contract rights. You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service for learning during your authorized access period. No ownership rights are transferred.

9. User data and progress records

Learning progress, plan terms, review results, display-language preferences, and entitlement records may be stored to provide the service. Privacy handling is described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Refunds, cancellations, and disputes

Refund request procedures, non-renewal terms, and dispute handling are described in the Refund Policy. Customers may request a product-level refund within 7 calendar days after paid access starts. Approved refunds revoke the paid entitlement and final-exam eligibility for the refunded plan. Requests after the 7-calendar-day window may be declined unless applicable law, Stripe rules, card-network rules, or platform policies require a different result.

11. No professional advice

VocaPass is an educational vocabulary product. It does not provide legal, financial, medical, immigration, or professional examination guarantees. Learning outcomes depend on individual use, prior knowledge, and study habits.

12. Changes to the service or terms

VocaPass may update these Terms for product, compliance, legal, or operational reasons. Material changes will apply prospectively unless required by law or necessary for security. Existing purchased plan terms remain governed by the immutable payment and access terms saved with the purchase where the product specification requires that behavior.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, VocaPass is provided on an as-available basis and VocaPass is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, profit, or business opportunity.

14. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any non-waivable consumer protection rights that apply in your location, disputes must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California, and both parties consent to that venue.
